Misinterpretations in fashion

 


There are certain things in fashion which are mistaken by people. Either it is because of the mentality of our society or because of their differences in perception. Fashion, being popular and discussed culture, always faces opinions like this. Let us discuss about some of these misconceptions which people generally have regarding fashion and its modes:


• It is CONCRETE ( materialistic )
The most basic and common assumption while discussing fashion is that it is materialistic. In reality, it is more than just expressing ourselves. Modern fashion is used not for showing off or making others feel that we are stylish. It is actually to convey what we are and what we think of our fashion. That is the reason several novel modes and trends are appearing. It is not to IMPRESS but to EXPRESS.

• It is all about fancy and pleasantries
Many folks do think that fashion is all about looking good and managing with the trends, but only some are aware of the toils of the background and the back-workers. Even in the fashion weeks, working in the studio all day takes much more efforts than showing up at the ramp. So if you think that it is really easy to maintain fashion and be a part of it...then look deep.

• The only fuel for a capitalistic system
While many people attain the mentality of interpreting that fashion is just to boom the economic level and promote capitalism....think if it consciously does so. Though, there are numerous firms who have their aim as to increase profits.
The fashion industry is more concerned about spreading the meaning of fashion and expand it worldwide.

• You need to be spending lumps of money
Purchasing fashion is just buying clothes, not buying expensive clothes. You need not necessarily spend too much to get descent fashion, afterall funky is also a way out there. And because of fast fashion, things are becoming available at a much cheaper cost with a high quality fabric.

Every fashion aspirant or those who are into fashion must have a clear concept of all these. And at least they should not think likewise. Instead, they should have a higher cognitive functioning of fashion with a definition in their own terms.
